About Dr. Benson
Jimi O. Benson is a board-certified internal medicine physician and the founder of Broadway Medical Clinic in El Cajon, California. Born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia, he moved to the United States as a teenager, fleeing civil conflict. Dr. Benson earned a biology degree magna cum laude from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and conducted biomedical research at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He completed his medical degree and internal medicine residency at Howard University College of Medicine. In 2014, he established his own medical corporation to provide accessible, high-quality care to underserved communities in San Diego County.
